After working as a draftsman on top-secret military projects, Ron craved something more fulfilling. That’s when he and his brother revolutionized grilling in South Africa, designing commercial gas grills for iconic steakhouses.
But Ron didn’t stop there. In the early 1980s, he brought the steakhouse experience home by creating one of South Africa’s first stainless steel domestic gas braais and by 1983, Chad-O-Chef was born. Then, in 2006, he expanded his precise engineering into flueless gas fireplaces, blending innovation with comfort.
